The ALPHA KIT is one solution to the ever-evolving Active Assailant incidents.  As identified in multiple after-actions, a lack of medical cache has limited the responder’s ability to render aid to incidents with high casualty counts.  The Alpha Kit can be a force multiplier in these types of events containing 15 identical Trauma pouches that can be delivered in 15 directions to be utilized by responders like SWAT, TEMS, and Rescue Task Force, Event Staff, in addition to civilian responders.  Each Trauma pouch addresses the concepts identified in Tactical Emergency Casualty Care utilizing the MARCH algorithm (Massive emorrhage, Airway, Respirations, Circulation, Head and Hypothermia).  The Alpha Kit includes a BattleBoard that allows on-scene commanders to effectively manage and account for Rescue Task Force Teams, Contact Teams, TEMS medics, other responding units and casualties.  The Alpha Kit is housed in a rugged rolling loadout bag that allows the equipment to be deployed long distances without fatigue from the carrier.
